UPCat is our online library catalog.
The Portage Lake District Library is a member of the UPCat online
library catalog group. This group includes many public, K-12,
college and special libraries across Upper Michigan.
You can use UPCat to find information about library materials in our
collection, as well as items in any library in the UPCat group.
Many items in UPCat that are at other libraries are available to be
borrowed by you through the Portage Lake District Library. If you
have a current PLDL library card and a Personal Identification Number
(PIN) you can place a "hold" on an item. You will need your
PIN and the barcode number from the back of your library card.
Items "on hold" for you will be sent to PLDL for you to pick up as soon
as they are available. We will call you on the telephone when
items are ready to be picked up.
If you don't have a Portage Lake District Library card, or don't have a
PIN, please stop in at the library and we will be happy to help you get
one.
